Who we are
YMCA George Williams College works to provide transformational support to practitioners, funders, and policy makers across the sector, to improve the quality and impact of provision and outcomes for children and young people across the UK.
About the College
Established in 1970, the College set out to provide training and support to new and existing practitioners working with children, young people, families, and communities.
In spring 2022, the College merged with the Centre for Youth Impact, bringing together leading expertise in evidence, insight, and data with training and learning for practitioners working with young people.
Our team
The College’s core team is made up of a thoughtful and skilled group of people working together to design, develop, and deliver cutting-edge projects and programmes, with and for the youth sector. The team share their thoughts regularly in our monthly newsletter and often blog about the things that matter most to us.
Our trustees
The College is governed by a highly experienced and passionate Board of Trustees, who meet regularly to support the College’s development and set our strategic direction.
Our networks
The College believes that evaluation, data collection, and analysis only have value if practitioners, managers and funders/commissioners are improving their practice – and decisions – as a result of what they are learning.
Our Strategy
Our 2023-2028 Strategic Plan sets out our vision for YMCA George Williams College, and our strategy to deliver transformation support to all those working with and for young people
Our partners
Collaborating with people and organisations across and beyond the youth sector is fundamental to our mission. We are proud to work with a number of peers and close partners across our projects, who share our values and interests and act as a critical friend.
